Introduction:

Annapurna region trekking is one of the most popular trekking destination among the tourists. Trekking in this region offers a beautiful view of mountain ranges like, Annapurna range, Mt. Macchapuchre, Mt. Dhaulagiri. This trek also offers a beautiful view of landscapes.

With the natural diversity, this region has a lots more to offer. During the trek, you will be able to see different animals, birds, flora and faunas like musk deer, snow leopard, pheasant, pine trees, etc.

Along with this, you will be also able to witness the beauty of nature. You will trek through deep gorges, valleys, and bank of the roaring rivers.

You will be able to come close to the tradition of the local people. Mostly, Sherpa people lives here. You will be able to know about the culture and lifestyle of the local Sherpa people.

You will be able to see monasteries, chortens, mani walls, and prayers wheels which are very historic and old.

Day via day Itinerary:

Day 01:
Arrival day in Kathmandu 

Upon arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be hearty welcomed by our staffs.  After completion of airport duties (visas, documents, etc.), you will proceed towards the arrival gate and look for our representatives.  After that, you will be escorted to Shankar Hotel.  After checking in, you can take rest for few hours and go out for sightseeing with our guide or representatives.  We will organize a typical Nepali welcome dinner at the evening along with Nepali traditional dance and music.

Day 02:
Kathmandu – Trek preparation.  

After finishing breakfast, we start our day with sightseeing some local historical and cultural attractions near Kathmandu including durbar square and temples like Pashupatinath, Baudha, and Swyambhu (monkey temple).  At afternoon, we will meet our tour guide, team leader, and other members of our trip and discuss about the trek where you can ask any questions regarding this trek.

Day 03:
Drive to Besi Sahar to Khudi (800 m): 

Today, we will drive to reach Besi Sahar and then up to Khudi.  We will drive through zig-zag road of Prithvi Highway with green hills on the left side and Trisuli river on the right side.  We will see villages, hills, farms, mountains while driving today.  In about 7 hours, we reach Dumre and from Dumre, we will take north to reach Besi Sahar.  And in about half an hour, we reach Khudi.  This is the starting point of our trekking.  Overnight stay at lodge.

Day 04:
Khudi to Sirung (2200 m):

Today’s walk is both uphill as well as downhill.  We will cross several suspension bridge over the river and we will see many waterfalls, green fields while trekking.  We will also see Manaslu range while trekking.  We will walk through the Tamang settlement, where we can get close to the Tamang people and their lifestyle.  After about 6 hours of walk, we reach Sirung.  This small village offers a home stay program by the local people.  To welcome, they also perform cultural program.  Overnight stay at Sirung.

Day 05:
Sirung to Chamje (1,410 m): 

Today, we will walk through green fields, hill side, rice fields, and many small settlements.  While trekking, we will also see waterfalls.  Trekking up to Syange is easy, but from Syange to Chamje, it is quite difficult to walk.  We will walk steep uphill to up Chamje from Jagat.  After few hours of walk, we reach to Chamje.  Overnight stay at Chamje.

Day 06:
Chamje to Dharapani (1,960 m):

We will enter Manang region.  Trail follows through fields, forests of bamboo and rhododendron.  Walking for few hours, we will reach a plain land, called Tal.  There are few houses in this area.  There is a large waterfall in this area.  And few hours of walking from Tal, we will reach Dharapani.  Overnight stay at Dharapani.

Day 07:
Dharapani to Chame (2710 m):

Today, we will walk through trail through forest and trails which are swept away by landslide.  So, we must to careful while walking on this trail.  We will also get a beautiful scenic view of mountain ranges like Lamjung, Annapurna II and IV.  Enjoying this view, we will reach Chame in about 5 hours.  There are houses and lodges to stay here.  There is a small natural hot water spring where we can relax.  Overnight stay at Chame.

Day 08:
Chame to Pisang (3300 m):

Today’s trail is quite narrow and pass through the forest.  We will cross river over and over again through suspension bridge many times.  Few hours of walk, the trail opens up and we will see beautiful mountains in front of us.  After few hours of walk, we will see Manang valley.  Walking and enjoying these views, we reach to Pisang.  Overnight stay at Pisang.

Day 09:
Pisang to Manang (3520 m)::

There are two routes to reach Manang today; one is upper route and another is lower route.  Trail of the upper route takes you to Upper Pisang via Geru.  From there, you will see beautiful views in front of our eyes.  We will see views of Annapurna and Pisang peak.  Weather is cold and dry, which makes us little uneasy to breath while walking.  On the way, we will visit Barge monastery, one of the oldest monastery in Manang.  Overnight stay at Manang.

Day 10:
 Manang Rest day (3520 m):

Today is acclimatization day here in Manang.  We will go for sightseeing around the valley.  Today we will visit Bhojo monastery and Gangapurna Lake.  We will also visit a small village Braga which is near from Manang.  At Braga, we will also visit Himalayan Rescue Association, where we can get information about altitude sickness and its prevention.  Back to Manang.

Day 11:
Manang to Yak Kharka (4110 m):

Today, we will walk very slowly and carefully to avoid altitude sickness.  We will cross a small stream and climb up to reach Tenki.  From there, we will walk through Marsyangdi valley to reach Jarsang Khola.  We will walk through pastures.  This trail pass through small village, Ghunsa.  There are mud roof houses in this village.  Passing this village, we will cross a river through wooden bridge.  This trail pass through fields and Mani wall to reach small village, Yak Kharka.  Overnight stay here at Yak Kharka.

Day 12:
Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4,600m):

We will walk slowly and carefully to avoid any altitude problem.  We will walk through rocky trail and dry lands.  After few hours of walk, we will reach Thorong Phedi.  This is important and busy place for trekkers and climbers.  Overnight stay at Thorong Phedi.

Day 13:
Thorong Phedi to Thorong La (5416 m) to Muktinath (3,800m):

Today, we will cross one of the famous pass, Thorong La Pass.  We will start our trek early in the morning.  With the beautiful view of mountains accompanying our trek, we reach Thorong La in 4-5 hours.  We can get breathtaking views from here.  After enjoying the view, we will then trek down to reach Muktinath.  It is one of the famous pilgrimage for both Buddhist and Hindu.  There are many temples in this Muktinath area.  Overnight stay at Muktinath.

Day 14:
Muktinath (3800 m) to Jomsom (2713 m):  

We pay visit to Mukthinath area early in the morning.  For about hour, we will visit different holy sites in this area.  After that, we will trek back to reach Jomsom.  Today’s trail is mostly downhill.  Trail is rocky and rugged with dry climate.  Few hours of walk, we will reach Kagbeni, a small village with majority of Sherpa settlement.  Taking short break there, we further descend down to reach Jomsom.  Overnight stay at Jomsom.

Day 15:
Jomsom to Pokhara (Fly): 

We will take an early morning flight to reach Pokhara. This flight will give you beautiful view of the mountain ranges. In about 20 minutes, we will reach Pokhara. We can enjoy remaining whole day in Pokhara, sightseeing the valley and do some shopping. Overnight stay at Pokhara.

Day 16:
Pokhara to Kathmandu (Drive):

After finishing breakfast, we catch a bus to reach Kathmandu which is about 200 km drive.  We can enjoy beautiful scenery on the way back.  It will take about 4 to 5 hours to reach Kathmandu.  Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel and rest.  After rest and lunch you can enjoy your free time shopping handicrafts and other local products for your friends and relatives back to your home.  Or you can even do some sightseeing in your leisure time.  In the evening, we will have dinner together and share our experience about the trekking.

Day 17:
Final day:

Final departure:  Today will be your last day here in Nepal.  You can still do some last moment shopping or local sightseeing if there is any leisure time left.  And approximately 3 hours before scheduled flight, our representative will escort you to the airport.
