Introduction:

There are many trekking routes to choose from in the Annapurna Region.  There are both long as well as short trekking routes which lasts for 7 days up to 20 days.

Depending on your choice and on your time, you can choose your trekking route.  This trekking will offer you to get close with the nature and enjoy its beauty.

Day via day Itinerary:

Day 01:
Arrival day in Kathmandu

Upon arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be hearty welcomed by our staffs.  After completion of airport duties (visas, documents, etc.), you will proceed towards the arrival gate and look for our representatives.  After that, you will be escorted to Shankar Hotel.

After checking in, you can take rest for few hours and go out for sightseeing with our guide or representatives.  We will organize a typical Nepali welcome dinner at the evening along with Nepali traditional dance and music.

Day 02:
Kathmandu – Trek preparation.  

After finishing breakfast, we start our day with sightseeing some local historical and cultural attractions near Kathmandu including durbar square and temples like Pashupatinath, Baudha, and Swyambhu (monkey temple).  At afternoon, we will meet our tour guide, team leader, and other members of our trip and discuss about the trek where you can ask any questions regarding this trek.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara (flight) trek to Bhurjung Khola (1,219 m):

We will take morning flight to reach Pokhara.  In about 30-minute flight, you will see some of the gorgeous mountain ranges.  Enjoying this view, we will reach Pokhara.  From there, our vehicle will take you to the trek starting point.  After reaching starting point, we will leave black-topped road and follow a trekking trail.

This trail pass through fields to reach a small village.  After about 3 hours of walking we will take a break for lunch.  After finishing lunch and taking break, we continue our trek to reach Bhurjung Khola.  Trail is quite wide to reach here.  And after few hours of walk, we will reach our today’s destination, Bhurjung Khola. Overnight stay here.

Day 04: Bhurjung Khola to Ghale Kharka:

Today, we will trek through a traditional Gurung settlement, Ghachok.  You will see some Gurung culture and lifestyle in this village.  We then pass this village and continue our trek.   On the way, you will see green lands and fields and river.  After crossing the river, we will climb steep hill.

Trail is uphill as well as plane land.  After walking for few hours, we now reach Ghale Kharka.  Overnight stay at Ghale Kharka.

Day 05: Ghale Kharka to Tara Hill:

Today’s trek will be quite difficult as the trail is steep up climb.  Trail goes through forest of rhododendron.  The whole forest is covered with red color of rhododendron during the spring time.  We will take a break for a while to enjoy the beauty.

Further continuing our trek, the trail becomes hard to walk as it becomes steep, but the view of the surrounding mountain ranges will help to relax.  After few hours of walk, we now reach Tara Hill.  Overnight stay at Tara Hill.

Day 06: Tara Hill to Parje:

We will continue our trek.  Today’s trail is mostly downhill.  We will walk through forest where we can see rhododendron and other vegetations.  After walking for few hours we now reach to the trail that leads us to Siklis.  We will take a lunch break on the middle of the trek.

After break, we continue to trek to reach Siklis and then to Parje, a small village where there are numbers of houses to stay in.  We can get a good view of Annapurna range from here.  In the evening, local people gather to entertain and welcome us by performing traditional songs and dance.  Overnight stay at Parje.

Day 07: Parje to Sabi:

Today’s trek is steep downhill, so we have to be careful while walking to avoid any injury to our knees.  Walking through steep trails, we might see different species of birds and animals as well as vegetations.  After few hours of walking, we reach to Sabi Khola, which is our resting place.  We can enjoy our lesiure time at the bank of this river.  Overnight stay at Sabi.

Day 08: Sabi at Thulo Kot:

Today we will trek along the bank of the river.  Trail is uneven, but easy to walk.  After walking for about 3 hours, we will take a lunch break.  After lunch, we will trek uphill to reach Thulo Kot.  After few hours of walking, we will reach Thulo Kot.  We can either camp at the bottom or at the top of the Kot.  From top, there is a good chance of viewing the natural beauty, but there is also a chance to get a strong wind at night.  Overnight stay at Thulo Kot.

Day 09: Thulo Kot to Begnas Lake:

Today’s trek will offer a good view of the mountains and the surrounding.  Trail is both uphill as well as downhill.  We will walk through forest, green lands, riverbanks and we might also get a chance to see different animals and birds.  After few hours of walk, we reach to Begnas Lake.  If there is a leisure time, we can go for sightseeing around the lake at the evening time.  Overnight stay at lodge.

Day 10: Begnas Lake to Pokhara:

We will take a boat to cross the lake and then we will drive to Pokhara.  After reaching Pokhara we can roam around different places in the valley.  We can go for sightseeing in different places there.  Overnight stay at a lodge.

Day 11:  Pokhara to Kathmandu:

After finishing breakfast, we catch a bus to reach Kathmandu which is about 200 km drive.  We can enjoy beautiful scenery on the way back.  It will take about 4 to 5 hours to reach Kathmandu.  Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel and rest.

After rest and lunch you can enjoy your free time shopping handicrafts and other local products for your friends and relatives back to your home.  Or you can even do some sightseeing in your leisure time.  In the evening, we will have dinner together and share our experience about the trekking.

Day 12:  Final day:

Final departure:  Today will be your last day here in Nepal.  You can still do some last moment shopping or local sightseeing if there is any leisure time left.  And approximately 3 hours before scheduled flight, our representative will escort you to the airport.
